About
I grew up in Wisconsin, dreaming of the southwest. In fact, that's where the name of this blog came from. A neroli is the flower of an orange tree, which gives off the most incredible fresh, clean, smell. The only place I had ever smelled this amazing scent was on trips to visit my grandparents in Arizona. I thought would be the perfect name for my blog - something that, for me, reflected happiness, summer, and fresh fruit.
Who knew that several years later I would be living in Arizona with my husband and dog? I love to cook, make things, read, and travel and you'll find all four things covered here. We bought a house last year and are in the process of turning a tract home into something with a little more personality.
Want to know more about me? I love to read. I could happily exist on cheese, olive oil, french bread, and wine forever. I'm a huge geek. I absolutely love cheesy BBC television shows, especially sketch comedy shows from the 90s and early 2000s. I love to learn and try new skills. I'm an introvert until you get to know me, then I never shut up. I love dressing up, but I'm usually wearing pajamas. Since moving to Arizona I've really gotten into hiking, but I have no endurance so we're working on that. I've discovered a new passion in remodeling and decorating my house. I love laughing and smiling and have been known to crack myself up so bad that I can breathe. What? I think I'm hilarious!
